TO FRAME OR NOT

This depends on the surface that the painting has been created on of course.

If you have a painting on paper - it has to be framed.

BUT if you have a painting on CANVAS.

You have a choice.

It's a BIG decision = framing

It can ruin or make a painting.

Most corporate spaces like a big canvas painting NOT framed. We paint round the sides of the canvas = to make a great presentation

Not framing a painting is not 'Being Lazy' - a painting without a frame = lets the painting 'stand' on its own merit

DIFFICULTY IN FRAMING

Framing is really all about the room it is
going to be placed in.

An artist has to'present' their work to the best = but really the choice of frame is dependent on the painting placement.

Very difficult.

I personally prefer to sell my paintings unframed and then the buyer can choose the frame.,

Canvas painting framed on a floater frame = but which looks better = a white or black background = see what I mean?! Difficult isn't it?

The painting will look COMPLETELY DIFFERENT IN A ROOM WITH A DIFFERENT FRAME!!

Very annoying!!
